This week I received back my request for DLA.
They have given me £15.55 a week towards making sure I get my food right. Its the lower rate carers allowance.
So it is possable to get something to help

Very interesting, Dave. Why did they do this. How partially sighted are you?
And, for that matter, how do they think that £15 per week will help you to see your food?
Well done in managing to get help, anyway.

Well it was my local social services that applied for me. On the grounds that I can only wear my lenses for a few hours a day and while the lenses are not in I am very badly sighted.
I think the money is to pay someone to make sure my food is OK and still fit to eat. As I can't see the dates and names etc with no lenses in.
Still £15.55 a week all helps
