Financial support for cxl

Postby OPOLOT BEN » Fri 28 Feb 2020 10:59 pm

Hello friends, Iam in Uganda but I was diagnosed of keratoconus in 2019.But my kind request is that if there is any one who can advice on how to get financial support for managing the condition because it has affected my life socially, no hope and severe suffering. God bless!

We're in the UK and I'm afraid I don't know what's available in Uganda. There are some charities which operate worldwide like Sightsavers and Orbis. But I don't know whether either of them work in Uganda or offer CXL. And of course, until CXL became more widely available on the NHS, there was no financial support for CXL here in the UK either!
Are you able to get rigid contact lenses to improve your vision?
(By the way, I've edited out your e-mail address from your post - we advise people not to give those details otherwise they'll be inundated with spam!)
