Redness after removal of Scleral Lens?

I am on my second scleral lens as my first one caused redness after removal and a stamp like imprint, the new one has just been delivered today however I’m having the same problem. This redness however looks a little different with miniature veins stemming from the centre of the eye (see in image) , just wondering if it’s still safe to continue wearing this lens without my ophthalmologist checking it first?

I'd be getting this checked before continuing to wear the lens. Better safe than sorry!

Go back and see the ophthalmologist, that sounds like it needs to be checked out.

I have a the same issue. I am working with the lens fitter to resolve the fit. If you look closely when the lens it in you may see one or more white bands (it's called blanching) Mine is caused by the lens being a little tight at two spots so it pinches the veins in the sclera. When you take the lens out the pressure is released causing a rebound effect making the eye go red. I think of it like putting your foot on a hose pipe then taking it off :P
. Get it checked out and watch your wear time. My fitter and consultant don't seem to be stressed about it
