I’m on my third lens and am fitted by my ophthalmologist. The first one was too tight, but had great vision. I got a second one that was reshaped but my vision decreased (same power). I’m now on my third one (new power, refracted differently apparently) and I can see amazing (better than before, on the 20/20 line in fact) when I first put it in and then it decreases after a short time. I’m kind of stumped. Does anyone have any thoughts? I’m wondering if it’s time to go elsewhere- there are specialists in my province (I live in Canada) but they aren’t that close.
Thanks in advance.

Re: Scleral probs
This is a very common problem. I don't know how long it has been since the third lens was fitted? Ideally, I would give it a couple of months for your eye to adjust and don't wear it for too long too soon. The change you notice when you have been wearing it for a while is because the lens settles back on the cornea i.e. it gets closer. I too have had better vision with a "tight fit" but it is not good for your cornea and may be uncomfortable too. If you get seen at your next appointment when the lens has been in for a few hours it will help them to see what is going on. You are not alone.
