My understanding of rejection vs failure is the former is potentially reversible and the latter is not, have I got that right?
So I'm a bit confused seeing graft failure on clinic letters but when I've asked it seems there's still potential. I'm confused.
I can see a line around the graft, it's been there a while so it's been seen, googling I think.it's the Khodadoust line. What is unclear to me is will this extend across the whole graft over time as in it turning opaque.
Any thoughts appreciated.

I suspect that both 'rejection' and 'failure' are often used quite loosely by medics so really only your specialist can tell you what it means in your case. I think 'failure' is a wider term and covers not just rejection but other reasons why a graft might fail such as infection. I usually talk about my 'rejection episodes' because increasing the dose of steroids eventually reversed the rejection each time. So both rejections and failures may be potentially reversible though sometimes only with further surgery. Sorry not to be more helpful.
