Did it continue for you? I'm asthmatic, hard asthma cough would have me screaming with pain I can't even take the other eye flinching with the RGP the pain goes into the re-grafted eye. Even a slight knock on the head hurts the re-grafted eye.
How can that ever tolerate a lens?

I have a small supply of numbing drops which they dont like to give out cos "they sometimes cause corneas to thin" um duh no **** but the pain is horrific il take that risk. x

I had a re-graft 4 weeks ago, and I agree that sneezing (and coughing to a lesser extent) caused pain. But that pain has reduced considerably and is barely noticeable now.

If your pain continues, I'd strongly suggest going back to your consultant, as things may need to be looked at.

Normal stuff like your hand on your forehead accidently going over the eyelid - I was curled up for 8 hrs in searing pain. I just want to tape the eye shield onto me permanently at the moment not just at night. The level of sensitivity and pain is scaring me. They could offer no explanation to me for it. I hope it eases because it's impacting on inserting the RGP in my other eye because it's hard to open wide & stare and I know that any sharp lid movement in that eye will immediately hurt in the re-grafted eye. I'm glad to hear yours subsided John, I will hold onto that!!
