We are a community here, so I'd like to remind everyone that one of our members is in pain and needing a good deal of extra support.
Claire (Sweet) is having a hard time getting to grips with an added serious health concern on top of her eyesight issues, and I just wanted to let her know, as I know I will speak for most of us on here when I say we are worried about you and hope you can get the right diagnosis and treatment in the not too distant future.

You're never alone.

We hope your  and :? and :(
will soon turn to  and

Couldn't agree more.

It isn't nice having those sort of worries hanging over you, I know from experience.

All the best, Sweet Claire

I Couldn't agree more. I hope you're feeling a lot better really soon.

How did the appointment go today? Stitches all out now?

Thanks for all of your nice thoughts. The appointment went really well! I now have 6/19 vision with the grafted eye with pinholes and my surgeon has decided to leave the last two stitches alone as they have all healed over. It will make the astigmatism worse if i have them removed so i am ok with that.

I am now on FML once a day for a month and then i can go away and try lenses!! He did ask if i wanted to try glasses but i can't see with them with the other eye so i said no. I am more than happy to try soft lenses and see how i go! The wrinkles i had with the graft has got a lot better and everything has settled down quite well so somethings are going well :)

On going away in a few weeks white water rafting he has said YES!! LOL!! So i am more than happy with that, although i did have to admit that i was going to go anyway as being 30 is a big deal!! I just need to wear goggles but i have already bought a good pair especially for watersports so that is ok.

So counting down now to trying lenses!!!

Just spotted heading towards Dover at great speed, two 38 ton wagons. One full of Malibu and the other Coke! Have a good holiday Claire.

Hi Claire, i hope all goes well . i am praying for you. Take it one day at a time. I have had a biopsy of the prostate done yesterday and i am now awaiting results so i am probably in the same position as you are. Keith

Hi Claire,

I'm so pleased that your graft is doing so well :) . My fingers are well and truly crossed for you that you get some equally good news soon.

Can I take it then that these last two stitches will stay in your eye forever (or until they dissolve)? I'd not heard of that happening before, but good for you if it means the astygmatism stays low. And SOFT lenses? Oh I can only dream...

Good that you've got the OK for the holiday, too (not that he could've stopped you!)
