Hard Gas Lens - Dry Eye drops

Hi

Any suggestions on what I can use for my dry eyes when using hard lens? I have been using HycoSan Extra - which isn't cheap (£10 for 7.5ml). I even started using the eye mask. But I still get very irritating dry eyes throughout the day. Anyone in an air-conditioned office suffer from the same thing?

Any suggestion welcomed.

Avoid the drops with preservative chemicals in as I found when the Eye Hospital prescribed them when they were trying me with rgps and I ended up with a crystalline formation building up on my cornea presumably caused by the friction/heat between the poorly fitting rgp lens and the surface of the cornea. It disappeared after a couple of months of no lens wear and disposal of the not fit for purpose for me eye drops.

These preservative free drops are recognised as the best by my optom -

Thanks for that suggestion.

I am using preservative free eye drops, but even that drys my eye after a few hours. I find that my eye becomes very sticky by the end of the day and I have to takes the lens out and then wash my eye and then put them back in.
Recently, I have been experiencing a lot of stinging sensation in the corner of my eyes, something I will have to raise with Moorfield's at my next appt.

Thanks for your help
