Next London meeting on 17th March

Postby Anne Klepacz » Mon 22 Jan 2018 2:31 pm

Our next London meeting will be the AGM on Saturday March 17th at 10.30am in the lecture theatre of the Moorfields Clinical Tutorial Unit which is now located at 15 Ebenezer Street (go up Provost Street which is across the road from the main hospital and you'll find 15 Ebenezer Street on the next corner).
Our guest speaker is Dan Gore, Cornea Consultant at Moorfields who will talk about his work on a CXL risk calculator. This is a topic that's of great interest to many of our members, so I hope there will be a really good turnout. And even if CXL is not for you, do come along and meet other people with KC. There'll be plenty of time to chat after the meeting over a buffet lunch. We hope to see lots of you there.

Has our charity ever had an AGM outside London since it was formed?

Were can we read the Agendas and the minutes for the AGMs on this website?

AGMs have always been in London. But the one day conferences that we organise, usually every 2 years, have been in Birmingham, Glasgow and Manchester as well as in London. This year's conference will be in Birmingham in September - we'll announce more detail once we have it.

Around 2pm, depending on how long people want to chat over the buffet lunch.
Do come along.

We encourage interested members to attend the AGM in person where an agenda is issued at the meeting. There is always time for questions and any member can ask anything they wish and also listen to the people who speak -- either other members or the committee. As this is a public meeting, we don't keep minutes as we do not maintain a list of people who are attending and don't ask for names and addresses or other proof of identity. So we've no way of minuting who might have said what.

Details of the AGM are published in the newsletter prior to the date of the meeting (e.g. https://www.kcgroup.org.uk/wordpress/wp ... r_2018.pdf) -- there's always opportunity to submit a written question and if a question is asked in writing, we'd provide a written response to the question as it was discussed (and, if necessary, decided) at the AGM.
