Last December I was told my right eye wasnt producing any of its own tears (um really I hadnt noticed the gallon of Hylo tears I was using daily) n my left was producing poor quality tears and after a couple of years of no success with temporary silicon plugs (theyd fall out in either hours or days at most) the only other option my consultant could thhink of was pernament ones, with the downside if they fail id end up with extream watery eyes
anyways had the pernament plugs fitted in March n omg! what a positive difference, I have gotten through about 1/2 a single bottle of Hylo Tears in the last 6 weeks, I am not feeling a overwhelming urge to rub constantly, my focus with my right eye is sharper, neither eye is as angry looking as it was, n despite remaining severly sight impaired (legally blind) I am functioning at last as a mummy n not having to hide away n avoid the world
Wow! what a difference
