Is there a third party you can write to and they will transfer thank you letter to the family/next of kin?

Yes there is. If you have a transplant at Moorfields or East Grinstead, which have their own eye banks, then you can do it through the Eye Bank Manager at the hospital. Otherwise, NHS Blood and Transplant www.nhsbt.nhs.uk are the people to contact - they oversee the UK wide eye banks at Bristol and Manchester.
