10th Anniversary!

Postby Paul Osborne » Mon 28 Mar 2016 8:11 pm

Good evening,

10 years ago last week I received my cornea transplant. Other than a couple of rejection attempts in the first 2-3 years things have been great with my eye.

Although I haven't been around here for a while (years) I just wanted to update to say that all is well and many thanks for your collective support and kindness when things were a bit tense and doubtful.

Take care all.

Paul

Happy 10th anniversary! And thank you so much for this post. The nature of forums like this one is that we hear most about the problems people are having. So it's great to hear that, apart from a few bad moments at the beginning, things have gone so well for you after your transplant. We'll look forward to hearing about your 20th anniversary!

Happy anniversary Paul, my 10th anniversary is on April 10th. One rejection episode a year later over Easter and no problems since. Got a perfect prescription and fit for the contact lens in operated eye and can almost read right to the bottom of the chart.

Congratulations to all celebrating anniversaries! Here's to many more and if you need a bit of optimism, my graft is now in its 36th year.
