That sounds like much better news on the lupus front, though frustrating that it sounds like a long wait for another transplant. But maybe it's not such a bad thing to let things settle more. The number of corneas donated has been going down in the last year or so, so I guess more of us will have longer waits if we need a transplant. We all need to encourage everyone we know to sign up to the donor register!
Fingers crossed for things to stay stable for you and not too long a wait. Keep in touch.

Hi through i do an update - thank you all for your best wishes. My Lupus seems to be under control so fingers crossed that it remains that way. I am still wearing a bandage lens, every time we try and leave it out things go wrong. I have been told that I am likely to have my next transplant in October. Just got to make sure I stay well and the eye remains stable.

Hi All
My next transplant date has been set for 14 Dec think the delay was due to my thyroixe levels changing just before my pre op assessment the nurse said she thought they wouldn't do it in October as my thyroxin levels weren't stable. Then I got a call from the hospital saying they would book me in for the 14 Dec. So just over 6 years since this one was done and a year since it failed. Nearly there now.
