Problems with Kerasoft lenses - affecting wear time

Hello all,
I use Kerasoft lenses and have recently started having issues where the heaviness the lenses put on my eyes (and the headache/ weariness I get in my eyes) kicks in far earlier than it did before. This issue started a few weeks. It used to happen after 8+ hours of wearing time, but is now happening after 3-4 hours. Does anyone have experience of this/ what the problem may be; and what I can do to alleviate the issue?

Has your vision got worse too? I'm having similar at the moment, albeit with different lenses. I went two weeks ago and my optometrist told me to try lubricating my eye every couple of hours... I'm going back tomorrow but the vision hasn't increased and the comfort level is bad too. I used to go 15 hours with these without a problem whereas now every 4 hours or so they become really painful.

Hi guys im having the same problem with mine, however only on my right eye (which is much worse than my left). My right eye starts hurting after about 3-4 hours of wearing. I tried using lubricating drops but they dont seem to work.

Hi Sonia.
Welcome to the forum.
It may be worth leaving the lens out for a few days to see if that helps. Although this is easier said than done when one needs lenses to see.
If you are still having problems with lenses it is probably worth checking with your optometrist to find out what is causing the problem.

Hi guys, are you on Kerasoft 2 or Kerasoft 3 lenses?
I found the Kerasoft 3 significantly better.
BTW - My old GP was also running some field trials in a form of acupuncture (using a stud in the foot) that he said he was getting some good results from in terms of tolerating wear time.

Hi there
I use the Kerasoft 2s. I tried the Kerasoft thin (not sure if that's the same as the Kerasoft 3 you refer to) but didn't get good results for comfort or sight.
Thanks for the suggestion.
