The aim of the study is to determine what is the best method to measure visual acuity in KC. Visual acuity will be measured using conventional charts and the new Moorfields Acuity Chart. It is hoped the results of this study will help to make current tests that examine vision more sensitive to conditions such as KC.

Inclusion criteria:

age 18-40
KC in one or both eyes
absence of significant opacities i.e. scarring, cataract
absence of other ocular conditions i.e. glaucoma, retinopathy
No previous surgery i.e. cataract, cross linking, grafts
best corrected visual acuity better than or equal to 6/60

What would be required of a participant:

1 visit lasting approx 30 mins
contact lens wearers requested to NOT wear lenses for 24 hrs (soft) and 48 hrs (RGP's) prior to the tests.
