34 and finally about to do something about my KC

New here from the U.S. I found this forum and I must say I am scared too death. I was diagnosed with KC in my early 20s but I didn't think much of it at the time and the doc did not really give me much info. I have always had not the best eye sight but I got by, usually squinting or sitting right in front of the tv. In my late 20s my right eye has become so blurred o can't see out of it. I think they said I am 20/400 in it. My left eye has been what's getting me by. I have gotten to the point in the last year or so where it has become very hard to even drive at night. I went to get glasses last march and that's when I learned a lot more about this. I have taken topography and had a million doc apts over the summer and I have been putting everything off. I have some ghosting going on now in my good eye and I have another apt with a cornea specialist in 2 weeks and it will be the second one I have seen and I'm then going to take action. I am terrified. This has really been a downer for me lately. My bad eye gets sore and has some scarring and is in severe stages but I am hoping a contact will still work if scarring is too bad. I have never tried hard contacts but I hope it works. Thanks for listening and I have read so many of your stories also.
