Swiss pharmaceutical giant Novartis signs up to commercialize Google's smart contact lens.
Probably not going to be much help to us, but, Novartis sees potential for this technology to also help "restore the eye's natural autofocus" through more advanced applications such as implanting the lens directly into the eye. Could be a more advanced form of intacts which seem to have helped for some keratoconus sufferers. More information here...
