Clinical trial of epi-on v epi-off crosslinking

Postby Anne Klepacz » Thu 19 Jun 2014 10:38 am

The corneal surgeon at St Thomas's Hospital in London, David O'Brart, is carrying out a clinical trial comparing the effectiveness of epi-on against epi-off crosslinking. To be considered for the trial, patients need to be over 18 with evidence of bilateral progressing KC (grade 1-3) with no corneal scarring or previous ocular surgery. They also need to be referred to Mr O'Brart's NHS clinic at St Thomas's by their treating consultants and GPS and ideally they need to live in or near London as there are a lot of outpatient visits.
