It's been advertised on the tv, the 'Magnicard' with built on LED light is the size and thickness of a credit card and can be used to magnify things you're looking at like washing care instructions, phone books, sewing, maps. It magnifies up to 2.5 times. It costs £4.99 from Robert Dyas or Woolworths. I got one, it's good.

I like these little things. I have a round block of clear plastic that magnifies up to 3 times. I put it on the text I am reading and it makes the little letters quite clear.

I also have a similar device like a ruler. same principle applies. I'm off on Monday to see if I can find one of Lou's credid card magnifiers.
