Quick poll for contact lens wearers (especially Sclerals)

Hello All,

I was hoping to pick your collective brains briefly! I have noticed that my patients I fit in the hospital with lenses such as sclerals, mini-sclerals, soclears, synergeyes etc, some of whom rely on a little lens holder ('large sucker') for inserting the lens and little suckers for removing them, are complaining more and more that these lens holders and removers and harder and harder to come by. There use to be a website which sold the large ones for inserting and removing sclerals but they seem to have stopped.

So can I ask - 1) If you wear sclerals, mini-sclerals or lenses which have to be filled to be inserted, do you think you would benefit from a little gadget for holding the lens steady to put it in? 2) If you already use something like this to either put your lenses in or take them out, do you struggle to get hold of them? and 3) are there any other bits and bobs like specific solutions, lens cases etc that you like to use or have been told to you by your practitioner, but find hard to find?

Many thanks!

Sophie

1 No. I have found that being able to put in or take out my lenses without any aids (mirrors or little gadgets) is a great benefit
2 N/a for the reason stated above.

All the best.
