Recommendation for Moorfields consultant?

Postby CrippsCorner » Wed 04 Jun 2014 12:29 pm

Hi so thinking about going ahead with CXL shortly...

I'm being badgered by family to get myself up to Moorfields. I looked on their website and under 'make appointment' it lets you specify any consultant you wish to contact, can anyone recommend one to speak to? I find it odd that under 'condition and treatment' they don't even have keratoconus or CXL :|

Surely we aren't that rare!?

Do you think this is the right way of thinking or would I be just as well to go to my local private hospital just down the road.

Assuming you're considering having CXL done privately at Moorfields, quite a few Anterior Segment consultants at Moorfields carry out this procedure privately. I understand recommending specific consultants on the forum is discouraged but if you phone John Saunders Suite which is the private wing of Moorfields they should be able to give you a list of the anterior segment consultants doing crosslinking. If you don't get any joy send me a pm and I'd be happy to reply
