I have posted the annual report and the minutes of the AGM on the Charity Matters forum.

I've PMed the password to you. There's no point having a 'members only' password if we advertise it on the open forum!

"no point having it on the forum" - but I have to ask how is Joe Public to know how to access it? as Joe Public may assume given teh sub board being named "charity matters" may wrongly assume it is just for committee members to post in n thus feel excluded and that the sub board is for "elitist membership" only, surely itd make more sense to put up an announcement saying if any member or Joe Public want to access that sub board to pm a moderator for the password n be given teh access they deserve n require x

I think that what Anne was trying to say is effectively

"Here's a area of the website only open to members of the charity". Following this up with "...and here's the password" is akin to putting a post-it note on your front door saying "key under the mat".

We don't keep the password secret - we do advertise it from time to time in the newsletter, or we give it out on request to any member of the charity - not to "Joe Public".

and back to the old point of how many people who use the forum find the newsletter in printed forum impossible to physically read? and how many forum users do not recieve a newsletter
