David is complaining that his right eye has been very fuzzy today. He says that he is finding it very difficult to focus on anything.
Is this common with KC which is quite progressed and could there be a reason why this his eye is fuzzy?

Carole,

This is hard to say without examining him. Yes, it is perfectly possible for prescriptions to change rapidly in advanced KC, so that vision may appear fuzzier one day than the next.

David also might have rubbed his eye which may have resulted in temporary fuzzines or it may be due to several other things.

The only possible advice that can be given is that if it continues, or especially if it worsens, is to get it checked out by a professional. Then even if it is nothing too problematic, it will add to your growing experience of the condition.

I will give this the weekend to sort itself out before I try to contact anyone, but he does have an appointment re his lenses on May 11th so I do not expect to see anyone with David before then.

i find that hayfever and also lack of sleep makes my vision fuzzy - sorry its not much help.

Sometimes my eyes go a bit fuzzy with or without lenses.

For me it is due to poor tear production and I get a glob of clearish goo that suddenly comes out of the tear duct and sticks in my field of vision.

I get the urge to give the eye a good rub, but now use eye drops to try and break down the surface tension so it goes away naturally.

It is possible that David tried to rub it away which is the reflex action and as Lynn put left it a bit sore. I find eye drops help sooth this so the urge to rub is reduced.

If you and David are still concerned I have found a quick call to the eye unit very helpful. So far they have always insisted on me going to eye casualty even if I have an appointment a wee or two later. They have always said they would rather play it safe and see me to find all is well than leave it two weels and find the problem has got worse and harder to manage.

Once we caught the problem early (that still took the best part of six months to fix) and the second visit resulted in nothing being wrong except for a burst blood vesel that would not harm the graft.

for the last couple of days i have been getting the same thing and it makes my vision fuzzy i am after transplant in each eye and i piggyback it seems to occur only after i take my lens out i am sick of running to the eye d"r for every little thing.My eyes also feel very watery.what do you do?

Just to make it clear to me; do your eyes just feel watery or are they watery?

How long post graft are you?

I don't have watery eyes or the feeling of watering eyes. My eyes rarely feel dry but I do have a dry eye problem, the opposite to yourself.
