Hayfever

I am just starting to show the signs of hayfever

and unsure how i am going to cope with wearing CL when my eyes are streaming, ichy and red does anybody have any tips? :wink:

i have haye fever to and it really makes using my contacts etc a real pain in the eye :lol:

i just use the usual remedies for haye fever, like claritine or woteva

My hayfever is worst around oilseed rape plants. this time of the year 9now ill the end of May) is the worst for me.

When travelling bby train between glasgow and Edinburgh (The OSR corridor) I used to remove my lenses and keep my eyes well libricated.

Apart from that the usual proprietory meds seem to keep the worst symptoms at bay, although they do make it all the more important that I keep my euyes well lubricated.

I suffer from hayfever, but not till quite late on, usually. I bought a hayfever blend of oils for my oilburner, which I find pretty good. It smells good and is nice to have on any where in the house, but especially in the bedroom before going to sleep.

Well, as soon as summer hits its on me like a rash, i can hardly open my eyes when i have no lenses in so what i will do i really don't know. The problem is i lie gardening, but pollen doesn't like me. I find Benadryl Plus to be the best because of the extra congestiant they use. NOT CHEAP THOUGH! I also have some eye drops and some nose spray concoction.

Apparently Tree Pollen levels are heading up at this time of the year.....officially high now in the SE of England. :cry:

My sneezing kicked in this morning when I was at the GPs - gardener was mowing the grass.

Have been told to use the 1 a day jobbies - "get the cheap supermarket own ones - much cheaper and the same stuff as I can prescribe".

:-)

I hate the sneezing - as at the moment it hurts big time. SWMBO is scared that the cornea will pop off.

Amen to all of that.

Now the Summer is coming my eyes will start. but I agree - Claratyn etc usually does the job, You can only take one a day, so always take them in the morning - or lunchtime if you're having a good morning.

In the Summertime when the weather is fine......
