KC is about facing the challenges it creates rather than accepting the problems it generates -

Very interesting! Actually, a while back someone posted here about Renu saying they thought it quite good and as I had never used or supplied it, I thought I'd give it a whirl. You can't advise, i don't think, until you actually try things.
To my surpirse, it too gave me a lot of discomfort and irritation, though I didn't think too much of that as I used to be allergic to older generation "all-in-one" solutions.
So interesting asylumxl had the same reaction.

Yep Andrew...
Its mainly down to allergic reaction usually to preservatives. However, it can be something to do with ph of tears, ie as to how alkaline or acid your tears are. This is why some eye drops sting, because they have to be a certain ph in order to work most effectively and if your tear ph is different, you will experience stinging.
If a solution which is supposed to be tolerated by the greatest number of people possible stings for a significant number of people it can mean the formulation is not as good as it should be, which is why I was interested in someone else experiencing pain with Renu. I just thought it was me hehe!
