It is one of those situations where the answer is "it depends". when you have seen the consultant (s)he will probably refer you to the contact lens specialist.

this means you have two tracks in your KC appointments. The Ophthalmologist will keep an eye on the medical condition of your eye and the contact lens specialist (an optometrist) will keep an eye on the fit of any lenses and the optical value the lens requires.

all the best on April 20. I had thought it was 28, but that will be because when my eyes are tired I find it hard to tell my 0's from 8's on my computer screen!

In my area it is about 2 weeks for the hospital to get the lenses, but 4 weeks for an optom to become available.

Unfortunatly each area is different.

It depends on where you get your lenses as small private practices are normally a lot quicker than hospitals. Though i find that the wait in a hospital is mainly to be seen in the first place and not the actual wait for a lens, unless you need to book a fitting!

Hoping it all goes well for you, Sweet X x X
