Post graft sensitivity

Before anyone does a "patience young padawan", I know I am only ten days post graft. But can anyone give me some clues on how long I am going to be driven mad by the stitches rubbing inside my eyelids? Its not painfull anymore it just feels strange.
Also is it normal to be light sensitive post graft?

Light Sensitivity can last up to 3 months...but you will get intermittent sensitivity well past that.....thus its wise to invest in shades
The sutures rubbing against the inside lids..should go away at about the 3 week mark..possibly sooner...but each are different...mine went away after about 7-8 days

ok thanks for that.
Sunglasses I have - they are great for watching TV with at the moment (when the wife lets me).
Eyelids and stitches - fair enough - I am not worried by it just curious.

I forgot...did you have a Full or Partial graft?

A full graft in the end, the surgeon wanted to try a partial but said it depended on how things were as he removed the layers.
Still on the whole it seems good and the vision is well quite honestly astonishing as I can _almost_ read this screen with the grafted eye and I havent enlarged the fonts at all.

I think we tolerate stitches better than other people need i9ng the corneal graft as the eyelid is already used to hard things rubbing against them.
stitches is a different sensation, but having checked my antient diary, sensitivity to stitches gone in a week and to light within three.
This was the same for each eye.

So, patience young padawan.
No doubt the universe is unfolding as it should!
But it is hard. if you hadn;'t had a graft you'd be able to give your eye a good long satisfying rub. As it is you daren't put your finger near it! I treated the irritation with loads of liquid. At first I had two-hourly chloramphenicol, and the cool wet fluid flooding into my eye made a huge difference.
I sometimes still irrigate with sterile saline, as well as the artificial tears.
I am still pretty light sensitive over two years after the operation.

I can't recall specifics but my eyes were both very sore for months post graft
and I still consider myself light sensitive
. I never leave the house without a hat (good job I like them) and photochromic lenses in my specs are essential. Some prescription sunglasses would be great but I've never had any. My grafts were ten and fourteen years ago.
