I experience the interresting fact that follows:

My old graft has undergone a rather recent lasik op, and gives me very good vision. Very clear and it will be improved to the best in a new op soon. The intereseting part is that I see kontrasts better with my recent graft. Any enlightened thing, such as tv subtext is better. Does this mean that in time, the new graft will end up far better, only the graft will clear up 100% ? It seems to me that it cannot be huge refractive errors when the contrasts are so visible and clear?

Hard to guess I suppose, does the graft have any sutures left? How long has it been since the op?

Yes, the suture still in, it is nearly 4 months post op and I am on some new drops tha assist the graft in the clearup-process.

When I go for refractions, at some point the optometrist always asks me to say whether a new lens makes the text look brighter (from which I take it she means is the contrast greater), or easier to read.

These seem to be different effects. It may be that you have noticed a function of your eye that has always been there but is now more obvious, given the different stages of your recovery in each of your two eyes.

Well, to explain this better, the letters on a snellen chart would probably be seen far better with my recent graft. And even better if the letters themselves were enlightened and not the board. The impression is that the vision is very good, only the cornea needs to get clearer to see other details in normal daylight. At least I hope it is like this..
