Congratulations on passing your driving theory test. When I learned to drive we were not required to know any theory, but at the end of the practical test we wre quizzed by the instructor on variosu bits of road-lore.

One hurdle down, one to go!

All the best

Congratulations, you are half way there!! :D

When i took my theory test i read and reread the thing so many times as i was sure that i had missed something. I filled it all in and was ready to leave but everyone else was working so hard that i was sure that i hadn't taken the test properly as i was the only one who was ready to go!!

Thirty minutes later and i was still there playing around with the questions, until somebody finally got up to leave and i raced out the door after him! Thank god for that!! LOL!! :P

I did pass so this just proves that obviously people with bad eyesight don't need as long to think and get things done quicker!

Well done, I remember my theory test, well it was slightly differnet as I was the only trainee driving instructor in with a load of people doing the normal theory.

Some thought I found it hard as I was in for neary 2 hours, others thought I was on the fiddle and doing the theory for others.

The pass of instuctors is 98% and you have to get this on each section, so it is not an average. Did not do as well as you, but I did get 99.5% from the 200 questions (I know it was a hell of a lot).

won't be long until we have you racing too.

in the proper places that is :D

Hehe oh racing i want to do! LOL!! It is probably a good thing though that i don't have a car anymore as i am very bad with speed. I just don't seem to understand that a car is there to travel not just to race down the M4. :( Hhmm shame on me, hanging my head here.

I was more annoyed that the only time i got pulled over i was racing a young guy in a silver porsche, he just managed to overtake me on the inside which is VERY bad, and i got pulled over and he raced away! I mean HOW is that fair?!!!

Anyway ... just wanting to say that i kinda stopped racing after that. I got pulled over once for doing well over 100 and i'm not happy with it, but on a racing track i'm sure that it would be a LOT more fun and dam legal too!!!!!! :D

Sweet,

If you get yourself to Caste Coomb, Chippenham, Wilts for the 8th July I think it is, good chance my Capri will be on trak again if we are invited to do another parade lap. Not quite 100 mph plus, but we do open the cars up a wee bit and have some fun. 32 year old cars as fast as many modern cars with 70's handling and no mirrors is real good fun :D

All the money for the parade lap goes to Charity.

On the same issue of cars....I have to say that I treated myself to an Upgrade with the Golf GT TDI....and I tell you I am surprised!!.....This thing runs like a sh*t off a shovel!....Im going to get a tuning box next week, one of the ones which plugs into the ECU so I can get better performance and Torque....you got any experience of these?.....Its either the whole chip set, or a remapping?....You got any experience in this?..if so..what do you think is better?

Jayuk,

I would recomend a full chip replacement with live mapping, that way you get smotther running through the full rev range. Live mapping is pricy but worth it as it can help fuel economy as well as power and torque. Get the mapping done on the road and not a rolling road as it is truer to real life. To get the most, a stainless sports exhaust and something like a K&N air filter too.

There are loads of VW specialists out there, check out the club web sites and go to someone based on personal recomendation. Then have a balst down a run what you brung drag strip or join the clubs and do a track day.
