Sporadic deterioration of vision

Evening all,

I have noticed that my "good" (right) eye is having periods where focusing becomes difficult to achieve. Since my "bad" (left) eye has vision like bathroom glass it makes life a tad interesting.

These periods last anything from a few minutes to a few hours and are not particularly frequent.

Since my bad eye is a lazy eye due to squints its barely had as much use as the right eye and so I cannot honestly say whether I have had this issue with it.

Is this a normal part of KC? - I really don't know.

Since I have my graft scheduled for the bad eye in late March (yes I have a date now - hurrah), should I just leave it until I see the consultant then, or is my local optom going to be worth a visit?

Paul
PS: doubt I will be able to make the AGM - sorry.

Paul,

I get a similar effect which at the moment is quite frequent whi Lynn has helped with.

In my case the lens is rotating a bit and failing to return to its correct posotion.

Perhaps the same is happening to you and once the lens is where it should be you can see fine again.

Gareth,

Thanks for the speedy response, however there is a slight issue that I didn't make exactly clear:

I don't have contact lenses.

Thats why I am slightly concerned at the moment.

Paul

I know that I am the last person who ought to give this sort of advice (but then good advice is always easier to give than it is to take :D ), but if you are worried, go talk to your doc.

Seriously, it is your sight!

All the best

Andrew

Well I am going to the optoms tomorrow anyway (I had forgotten on Saturday - doh) - to get a couple of things sorted before the op (left lens changed to a plain one and get a copy of the prescription) so will talk to the people there and see what they say.

Fingers crossed.

:-)
