Thanks for the update, Rosemary.
I appreciate a bit more empathy might have been nice, but it does sound as if medically you are in good hands - touch wood.

Re: Rainbows Revisited - OH NO!!!!!!
Cheers, Barbara!
Feel a bit better this afternoon - really grotty this morning, though.
Dragged myself out to the field, as it's a Thursday and hoped the open air, sun and being around the horses would cheer me up a bit.
Took Duke down to the football pitch at the top of the housing estate - only big flat area with good surface in the vicinity - and practised for the dressage competition I'm doing tomorrow. Not on Duke - on a new horse I've only ridden once and who is definitely better right handed than left handed.
NOt too bad on Duke, though a bit more confidence, practice and stretching exercises would hep a lot!
HOw it will go tomorrow evening riding someone else remains to be seen!
I'm sure you're right about being in medically good hands.......
We will see how the drops work out and what the pressure is like next appointment.

Re: Rainbows Revisited - OH NO!!!!!!
Hi
I can certainly sympathise with the feeling of being treated by doctors as a medical condition that inconveniently happens to have a person attached to it! I think it's a very common complaint. It's probably an inevitable consequence of doctors' workloads. I've heard people make the same complaint about all sorts of medical conditions, including giving birth (- which I've never actually done, but ... and before anyone points out, is, of course, not an illness! )
And it's not just medics who have that attitude - after more than 4 years since that accident I was injured in, I still can scarcely go anywhere in my home town without some (well-meaning but tactless) person saying "How's the leg?" or some such comment. Being a broken leg on legs, though, is a bit of a contradiction....!! And of course the old ladies at church when I was a kid who kept asking me "How's your eyes Rosemary?" You'd think people would have better manners, even if they haven't got a life to get on with.... It'd be nice to just be able to chat about the weather once in a while... cold this week, isn't it?
Must dash - students to teach....
