(Thanks, Andrew.)
I've now upgraded the forum software to RC5 (without incident of any nature!) and have reenabled compression - as RC5 has allegedly fixed the bug which caused style sheets to be mangled by Internet Explorer.
If anyone sees the "old problem" back again, please let me know, and I'll turn compression off once more.

Re: New forum software
I don't even use Internet Explorer and the forum looks perfectly jimdandy to me! I did just take a look at my earlier post with ∑ and π .. both look like themselves.

Re: New forum software
Hi John,
This may be a big ask (I dont know, I'm an asp rather than php bod) but would it be possible to add RSS to the website?
I have RSS feeds on my homepage and it would be good to see new posts as they happen. Would no doubt be useful for moderators too.
Plus if you can do this..

Thanks, Ed

...I'm guessing RSS will be a walk in the parkI've now upgraded the forum software to RC5 (without incident of any nature!)

Thanks, Ed

Somebody complimented me on my driving yesterday - they left a note on my windscreen "Parking Fine" which was nice.

Re: New forum software
Hi Eddie,
I've not yet stumbled across an RSS feed mod for phpBB3 yet - but it is certainly something I'd consider. I mean, if it's good enough for the BBC...!
But seriously, I think that Digest posts would be more useful in the short term, as the poorer-sighted people amongst us tend to use screen readers on their email programs already.
Don't worry though - it's on the list!

Re: New forum software
Hi John, the forum is so slow in loading that it has almost ground to a halt. At least it has for me.
Is there a problem?

Please have a listen to my daughter, if you have a spare moment, on www.myspace.com/emmaparnes. She also wrote the songs.

It's a relief to know it isn't just me! There does seem to be a problem - it's taken me for ever to post 2 messages!

Re: New forum software
The forum was really slow yesterday, and at times completely unavailable. Today things are much faster. Well done John.
