Well, my consultant says it will clear up. Just have to be patient. But 2 months ++ and progress seems slow. Next time I will see him is 10. feb.

The best progress I see is in the evening, when I have never seen better for as long as I can remember.

Had a lttle experiment this night. Went to bed very late, 03.00. Up at seven. And guess what: The vision is almost as clear as 03.00!! Perhaps I should buy some coffein-pills and stay awake for a week or two ? :)

LOL thats is kinda funny!! I work a lot of nights as a nurse and find that my vision gets worse at about five six in the morning after being in since six the previous evening and then clears by itself to what it was when i first put the lens in! Then i go home with great vision and don't want to take the lens out but i need some sleep!!

I used to play with it and clean it to try to see if that would help but have recently found that it just takes a little time and it will sort itself out. Being tired does play havoc with lenses at the best of times but i wouldn't suggest staying up too late and leaving a lens in too long. Sadly we will pay for overwear in a few days.

This is going to sound really outrageous!..But bear with me....do you do any physically activities?...gym, bike, running, treadmill etc?

Assuming you were able to do some light exercise first thing in the morning, (and it was cleared by your consultant) im talking something that would raise your heart rate to the 65-75% range than consider doing this for a day or two and see if that makes a difference to how fast the vision returns and fog dissapears.....

I have a theory on thisl which worked in my case of the graft...but in a nutshell the raised heart right, increased circulation and overall activity in the body had a really odd impact on my vision..in that it got clearer faster....during the initial waking hours.....I returned to the treadmill at around the 6 weeks mark post graft and it was really light morning stuff.....but again I did clear it with my consultant....

Sweet; do you wear a lens on your recent graft ? Isn`t that risky ?

Jay; I have also thought about this since I see a better result on days when I wake up early and have full time work with our little son ( 10 mths ) ;) I will ask my surgeon. It seems to me that fresh air might have a positive impact as well.

No i have never worn one on this eye due to scarring which is why i considered the graft as i had nothing to lose. I know that you can wear a lens in time but i am going to wait a while as it is only five months post op.

Back from the very first pub visit sice lasik and second graft, and what a GREAT TIME! No every 15 minutes cleaning lens process. And what a nice time beeing able to see nightlife as clear as this. If the vision keeps up like this I will be happy. Cheers!

it sounds more an d more like the problem is one of oxygenation of your cornea. At least now you ahve an excuse to stay up really late and get up really early.

next you have to find an excuse not to!

Hi there.

I thoght I should give you an update after my visit to my clinic on friday. The situation is pretty much the same as one month before. Oedama in the graft which it takes at least half a day for the endothelia-cells to clear up. He mentioned that there was a small progress as he thoght the worst part was clearer than last time. If there was no further progress next motnh there was talk about a possible re-graft. I felt to some extent dramatic, but the again. All my appointments the has been in the afternoon. This one was at 10 am. So I calmed down thinking that the progress would have been more visible in the afternoon. So then we´ll see! One more month....
