That's what worries me - if I got any complications in my good eye after CXL I would be screwed

Ya I hear you but if we don't do it then we take a risk of our good eye getting as bad as our bad eye and I would be screwed there also. Kind of a damned if you do damned if you don't. My CXL apt is in 1 week as of now I am going through with it.bit don't feel great about it.

I am seriously close to not doing it. Anyone know if there is any difference in epi on techniques? I can go to a place a hour away but they seem fairly new at it. I was going to go to Boxer Wachler in Cali but it costs twice as much and I would have to fly there.

I don't think the procedure is going to be any different wherever you go... the only unknown quantity is how your eye's going to react. My right eye went fine, my left hasn't, but it would have been the same result wherever I went and whoever done it.

This is the hardest decision I have had to make. If I get it done I have the chance of messing something up. If I don't do.the CXL my eyes might progressively get worse.

Not got any better yet, I know I'm this for the long haul. My consultant said he simply couldn't put a time on it because everyone is different, but I found some research online that looked at many people this has happened to...
1 month: The haze peaks
1-3 months: It stays constant
3-6 months: It starts to slowly decrease
6-12 months: It decreases more rapidly
If it never went, there is more treatment that can get rid of it. If you got an infection, it might ultimately end up needing a transplant, but of course that's very rare... and some people with keratoconus end up needing one anyway. There was one case I read about of someone who had an allergic reaction to riboflavin, but that's one person ever!

Do you guys think epi on CXL is even worth the risk? My doc says they have good results with it but from what I read it sounds real hit or miss.
