Ok hopefully some good news!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have been up all night looking for a new phone online and just had a call saying that a pink phone had been found and it had 145 missed calls from a land line, which yea was my number! It was picked up by a foreign girl and looked like it had been disgarded outside a pub and she wants to give it back to me!

I'm really hoping that this isn't a joke, she gave me her name and workplace and am going to see her Monday. She also called from a landline and didn't withhold her number. She sounded quite genuine and as i am meeting her in work (at a well known fast food place) i guess this is better than in the middle of anywhere!

Am really dam excited and so hoping this is real!

Thanks for all your support! I do have a terrible headache but am doing ok. Guess i do need some sleep now though! Will let you know how it goes, but if it is real i need to give her something for being so dam generous in wanting to give it back! What were we saying about nice people?!

Just in case... please take someone you know with you when you go to meet her.

From what you say, it does seem unlikely that there's anything dodgy, but it does just seem unlikely that someone will go to the trouble of committing a robbery and then discarding the only valuable they obtained.

Of course, maybe pink wasn't their colour

Hehe yea it was probably that and the fact that i cancelled the credit on it as well! Pink phones with no credit on it are kinda worthless unless you are a gay guy or a girly pink fairy!!!

I agree with John about taking someone with you. It would be good to share the moment of restoration of the pink phone with a friend :D

Did you hear what happened to a woman in Orlando whose sons kept borrowing her Harley Davidson?

Every time she wanted to go somewhere, one of them was off on it. Eventually she phoned the HD shop in town and asked for their help.

The mechanic told her to bring the bike in. They would fix the problem, making it very unlikely that her sons would borrow her HD again, and they guaranteed that the solution would not damage the performance of the motorcycle.

They gave her a price. It seemed a lot, but if she gained unrestricted access to her motorcycle, any price was going to be worth paying. On the Monday, she took the HD into the shop. She was told that she could collect it on Wednesday, and that her problem would be solved.

On Wednesday she left work at lunch time and took the bus to the HD shop. She paid by Credit Card, and was taken round to where her motorcycle was waiting with its new security feature. When she saw what they had done her mouth fell open in joyful amazement: standing in the corner of the paint shop stood her luminous pink motorcycle. From that day her sons never borrowed it again.

I wish you well when you are reunited with your unfashionably pink mobile phone :D

Hehehe well maybe it has served its purpose well in being totally unwanted for everyone else!!! LOL!!! Maybe if it was any other colour i wouldn't have it back! You know it takes only a few people to want or even need a pink mobile, but i dam well do! LMAO!!

Great story on the bike, i would have loved that! My dad was going insane with me and my car as i was threatening to have it sprayed exactly the same! HEHEHE!!

Louise

congratulations on the aquisition of your new title! :D

I'm glad Sweet seems set to get her phone back. I'm always losing things, not through the dishonesty of others, but through my own carelessness.

to have been mugged was bad enough, but then to have to go through all the trouble of notifying friends and family of potential changes to contact details, that is insult heaped on injury.

Thankyou Andrew!
Have you considered any Directorate for yourself? I think a whole new alternative reality and community could be developed here..

Working in an organization with no boss, I have never got used to the idea of titles. I don't know what I'd be director of.

I like the idea of a horse and cart. I think you may need a horse and cart driving license, but I don't know what the sight requirements are for driving that sort of vehicle. Maybe one of the Optometrists has this information at their finger tips.

A pal of mine, who is blind, was told off by H&S for driving a tractor round his own land. He was told that it was an unacceptable workplace hazard to which he replied, "but I'm not at work!"

He should have told the guy about the blind man on Top Gear RACING a car around the circuit.
You could be the Director of Kilts or Scottishness? Or the Director of Style?
