Awww so good to hear that everything is getting sorted. It is bad that no-one knew who was supposed to be looking after you, but am glad that it is all finally sorted!!! :P

Yes, a graft tomorrow would be good, but you know it is VERY near to Christmas now, and i think you may be better off enjoying it and relaxing!! LOL!!!

Hoping that it is VERY quick in the new year though!

Take care, love Sweet X x X

Well, I've gone for the magic wand that makes everyone see like we do.
On the grounds that the only way to make the world a better place for us all to cope with will be if the rest of the world really does see what we mean.
Unfortunately, if all the rest of the wrold does see like we do, they won't all get all the stupid comments..... but maybe we can supply some of those for once!

I don't think my brain would be able to cope with 20-20 vision if it had it! - it may "see" but having lived with dodgy vision for so long, it wouldn't suddenly be able to work in a visual paradigm or to understand supposedly "intuitive" visual symbols.
Though it would be wonderfult o be physically capable of readng at twice the speed and half the effort.
And to be able to work out properly what was happening in the horse races, like to be able to spot "my" horse before the race was half over, and once i've seen the finish and heard the judge announce the winner, not to have to need three big-screen replays to work out where on earth the winner came from bfore suddenly arriving in the lead at the last fence!

thawing out after attempt to go to Ascot races at Windsor, only for them to be called off cos the course was frozen.

PS: why do people keep writing "Razz" in their messages? What does it mean??

Hhmm where did razz come from? I haven't seen it here!!! Hoping someone will know!!! LOL. Windsor is very nice, my sister and her husband used to live there, as he was in the guards. Very cold though at times, but the castle is lovely!! :)Sorry it got called off!

Rosemary,

This symbol :P may appear as "Razz" for you using a screen reader, but for those looking at the web page, they will see a smiley face with its tongue out!

Yes i know exactly where you are, and i'm sure that most here would love to give this condition back! The thing is, that good lenses with good vision makes all the difference, and while we can't change what we do have, we can make a better situation of it!

Merry Christmas to you and hoping that we all have a good year in 2006!! :P

Hi All,

Just back from the Hospital to see if my Christma oresent had come early; A new more comfortable lens.

New lens was more comfortable, but could I see any letters? Even less than when I have no lens!

Went through the usual of changing the focusing power and brillient 6/6 and then I blinked and could not see the chart again! After a couple of times of triying, I moved my eye left and right while blinking and could make the vision come back. As long as I look straight ahead and blink all, is well. Move my eyes, blink and look at something, the lens is taking an age to recentre.

Had a go with the old lens and exactly the same thing!!!

While a new tighter lens is made I am having to see what happens if I after a coupe hours lens wear, using Systane and ri-inserting the lens helps to keep the lens mobile enough to self centre quicker.

Tighter lens may have problem of not having enough thickness for the rest of the correction needed. From the topography, the axis is 20 degrees, but the lens that best fits that has decided to sit at 40 degrees. However to complicate matters further, all the correction is at 30 degrees.

Perhaps an optom can explain this better.

The hospital were snowed under with regular patients and eye casualty today and I did not want to hold up the proceddings any further.

Next visit I will go in disguise as I was recognised by another KC patient who saw me at the confrence earlier in the year.

Perhaps at the next visit when I enetr the waiting room I should wear the official KC T-shirt and shout 'Who else here has KC?'

Go back in a month, so that makes at lease one visit per month for the past 7!

Might see if there are any jobs going.

Well, I still have a selection of sizes available in black. Only £8 each. All proceeds to the charity. :)

Ok, well Santa has packed up now after a very busy year and flown back to Lap Land, to spend some time with his wife and the elves! LOL!! :P

He enjoyed reading all your comments, and will try REALLY hard next year, although he's still kinda hoping that medical technology will overtake him and find us a better solution!! :P

Thanks for all the votes, it was really fun! Hope you have a really wonderful and well sighted New Year!! :D

Loads of love, Santas Sweet little messenger
