Re: CXL
Just to clarify the confusion over this, corneal scarring is caused only if trauma has pentrated the stroma. If trauma is superficial and only involves the epithelium it usually heals without leaving a trace except sometimes the patient gets subsequent discomfort relating to the abrasion not healing very well (recurrent erosion syndrome). Therefore, having epi-off CXL unfortunately will not get rid of any pre-existing corneal scarring. Scars could be removed with excimer laser but this would obviously result in the cornea ending up thinner and is a definite no-no with KC.

Re: CXL
Thanks for the replies.
I had cxl done in 2006 and thereafter for 6 years nothing changed with my eye. I was so happy. But unfortunately my finger got poked in the eye. And since then I am all kind of problems.
The abrasion in my was superficial and now doctors see no scar. Thats wonderful but my vision has changed a lot for which I am worried. I feel if cxl is done again may be it could remove my symptoms of blurring, ghosting, glaring, etc. But on the other hand I worry that any procedure now could affect my vision even further.
I am due to try contact lenses soon. Hopefully they work for me.
