Hi

I too have an intac so if you dont mind will chuck in my two pence worth

I was off for 2 weeks but only because I had my op done over christmas and needed to be followed up before I could return to work, id say within a week I would have been nearly ready for returning to work the reason i say nearly is because halo's were a problem I hat kind of grey sky you get in the morning and in the evening in the winter made it a bit dicey crossing roads because of headlights and christmas lights.I did learn to kind of look away look back and blink to refocus and the halo would go and i too now only really notice them in the cinema and nightclubs and can ignore them after a few seconds.

I agree with Clare have sunglasses handy and tissues and if you can get by with specs and are only having 1 eye done, have 1 pair changed so you have a plano over the eye your having surgery on :-) i only thought of this the day after my op and had to spend silly £ at vision express to get it done quickly that way you can wear your specs and see out of your better eye for general round the house bumbling - i couldnt get around without glasses and my eyes were both watering way too much for my ill fitting right lens to stay in place

something kicked in Im a chronic eye rubber still do with my right eye but I very rarely go near my left one, in the first few days its something you dont do because it will hurt and then it becomes habit not to do it , it does hurt putting on eye shadow if i do it too hard, even sensitive mascara can sometimes irritate me but Id still say 100% its the best thing I have ever done , feel free to message me :-)

GOOD LUCK! hope everything goes well. I had intacs put in back in 2006, my KC was well advanced around 20/200 in my left eye and 20/100 in the right (uncorrected) After the sergery I was around 20/30 in the left and 20/25 in the right (uncorrected). However in my case things did not stay as promissing, the left went back to around 20/200 and the right is a little better then 20/100 (uncorrected).
again best of luck, hope everything goes better then expected!
