Hi,

I've renamed the topic at Stephen's suggsestion.

No such members list appears on my board index. Am I not a member then? (always believed I was). How can I access these lists then?

It's not the board index you need, but the site home page. The two lists Andrew mentioned are:
All the best,
John

Hello Pepe! Nice to see you again!

I am not sure what you are implying here! The email you refer to is one that was set up for me when I was collating the information from optometrists for the list indicated in John's post above. As I was a professional collating from professionals, it was offered to me by the group so that the other professionals would be reassured I was collating the information for this organisation and that it was covered by data protection.

I now only get occasional emails on this address when professionals ask to be in the professional forum. I will now take this opportunity to say, that as it has had no posts for 2 years, I feel it should be closed. It was an experiment that did not work.

As I said, I do not have any official position in this group - I merely post for the benefit of members and act as moderator on the professional forum, which, as I said, is now defunct. I am not sure why you think I would lie about this and what reason I would have for doing so?

Many professionals interact with this group - as we should! That is not the same as being on the committees etc!

The moderators split this thread from the one t started on at my request.

This is beacuse the original thread got locked. I therefore suggested a point where the original thread could be split so that this topic could run independantly of the original one so the two could run their own coure independently.

What I would like to see from this thread is a positive discussion to determine what we should be asking a private practitioner before we make an appointment so we know we are going to see someone that will deliver the service we want.

Then perhaps from that we will be able to devise a way rating these organisations in a way that is satifactory to us and the health care professional.

I think that this thread has now gone off-topic enough, and I'll request that any further correspondence is carried out by PM.

Regards
John

The last post on this string before John locked the topic was personally insulting to another member of the forum. The post has been removed and a reminder is given to all users that we have all accepted terms and conditions of use.
