Hey guys,
I'm sat here with me new spwcs on, they are a little strange at the mo, altho, i hop to get used to them, was driving in the dark before, was a little weird with them on, and i felt a little better wearing them, the slight double vision of the street lamps was cut down a smidgen !!!
I do tend to get more tired more quickly tho, altho i guess this is gonna happen as i guess my eyes are working overtime ?
Feel a little better about using the computer now, turned down the brightness of the monitors both at work and at home, and turned down the brightness of my mobile, seemed to help a little with the 'ghosting' if thats the word ?

Re: Hello
Chris.
I'll be yet another person to add there info to the mix.
As stated already most people who post on here are either new KC suffers finding out what it's all about, and then there are the people where it's got to the operation stages.
I started with KC when i was 11 and happily coped with lenses in both eyes for 17 years until i needed a graft in my right eye nearly 4 years ago. My left is still fine with at the moment with a contact in it.
Don't worry about it though. When i was first diagnosed my optician mentioned grafts and as an 11 year old this was scary. I spent ages worrying about when the day would come that i needed a graft. I felt that it wasn't a case of IF, but a case of WHEN. Unfortunately with my right eye it did get that bad and my left isn't far off the graft stages but for most people it never gets to this stage.
Get an appointment at your hospital and get checked out there and just see it goes with your new specs. Only time will tell on how bad your KC will. For your sake i hope you're one of the lucky ones that specs/contacts will solve it for and you'll never need ops.
