Matt asked about diet:
well, there was a tlak at a KC group conference a few yeas ago, in which various possible trigger factors that set off the KC were mentioned. One, IIRR, was zinc deficiency. Trouble is, by the time one knows one has KC, it's been triggered, so feast on zinc-containing foods is probably a bit late...>!
Other things:
keep well hydrated by drinking lots of water/juice and going easy on the strong black coffee, cans of coke and "strong liquor" can help if you get dry itchy eyes and contact lens problems.
some people have had problems with thick gooey tears and mucousey lenses, and have dealt with it by changing diet. Reducing dairy products, I seem to recall, has fone great things to change the tear consistency.

Matt

I am not sure whether it really makes any difference, but I have seen articles that suggest that people with KC may have a magnesium deficiency. This may, of course, be that whatever causes KC may also make it difficult for us to metabolize magnesium.
