Actually Andrew because you have made corneal transplants to your eyes that doesnt mean that everybody wants to make transplants.I dont want to be cruel my friend, but you dont know what you are talking about.
You comment about collagen crosslinking without the slightest knoweldge and you say something about considerable results?Go to Germany,Go to Italy,Go to Greece,Go to Spain,Go to Switzerland,go see and then form an opinion about something.
And you said that it is the last thing i want a guy in here talking about different experiences. How people should benefit if patients dont talk each other and spread the news about treatments?I r know maybe we should talk all the time about how successful a transplant is.Yes,that seems logical i might say.
You know if someone is an ego then this is the death of everything in life.Egoism ruins everything.Put back my topic to the general discussion forum in order people to benefit and regain their precious vision. Its the least you can do.
Takecare,

Zeus,
We are not promoting grafts, everyone here will tell you that I put off having one done for years where my vision in one eye was light only and even then I had to be convinced. I was offered it free on the NHS but delayed it for over five years until I had problems in the other eye and relunctantly decided I had to get it done. I then paid a lot of money to go private. A lot of others are the same here, most don't jump straight into the graft option. You just replied to Andrew and said that he didn't know what he was talking about? It took a long time for him to make the decision to have a graft done, not something he took lightly.
Crosslinking is something that would really help us. I think though that some people here are wanting to have some results. You say that we should be looking abroad? Germany, France, Italy etc? Can you please post some results so that we are able to be informed? You say that you want to spread the word? Please post some results and information without promoting or giving a biased point of view. It is up to each individual to make up their own minds, not the professional treating them, their family or the many friends here.

question about epikeratophakia
Hi John,
I'm not sure if this is going to post in the right place, after where you posted...but anyway, I was curious as to what you meant by treatments such as C3R and epikeratophakia--are there doctors who are using both techniques together with some success? In general I am interested in hearing more about epikeratophakia and if this is still used to treat KC as the idea of avoiding rejection is very compelling.
Anyway just wondered if you knew of some update of this older technique!
Thanks!
Christine

Christine,
I seem to remember that my consultant mentioned that he was doing a trial using both techniques... but I may be mistaken. Anyway, he's doing a presentation at our AGM next month, so we'll find out more then... and I'll make sure that the forum is updated with the results!
