Yes I use Blink and Systane as well and find that I can get by with these. It is good to leave them out for as long as possible so you are doing really well.

Re: What is this??
Sorry it has taken so long to get back; I have been away from my desk for the last couple of days, and shall be away more in the days to come. Sometimes my work takes me away from my computer, and sometimes it keeps me chained to it!
Anyway; I wear a clear plastic eyeshield that I tape to my face each evening using micro-pore tape. The shield has amny holes so that ventilation is not a problem.

Re: What is this??
Tim,
Sorry not been round for a while.
What you describe souinds wexactly what happend to me in January 2006 while I was in hospital of all places. As I flicked my lens out I just nucked a blood vessel on the white of my eye and had a bright red spot. Told the nurse and after my op got transfered to another hospital to have the cornea looked at.
I was told I could wear my lens, but it might rub and slow the healing process. I went without a lens in the one eye for a week and used Systane eye drops four times per day rather than my usual two and within a week al was well again. No rubbing from the lens and no irritation and back to 12 hours plus lens wear again.
Hope you are now fully recoverd.
