You'll turn up and get to sit in the nice comfy chairs. The not so nice and comfy chairs are for anyone you bring along with you.
You'll have a brief chat with your Dr and he'll have a look at your eye. They'll also clarify the eye they are operating on by leaving you with a sexy marker pen above it.
Back to comfy chair sitting, a brief chat with the nice person who is going to be ensure you have a nice sleep. He'll check for any allergies.
Then off to get changed into a sexy gown, I was told I could have kept my trousers on but as they had metal in them they had to be removed. I did put my t-shirt back on though as it was a bit nippy.
Up onto the bed and one moment you're asking for a story and the next you'll be waking up and all is done.
If you have a morning appointment you should be able to go home that afternoon to return the next morning. They'll then remove your bandage and check your eye.
It all goes very quickly.
