Thanks for the website. Checked out hydrops, surprised I never heard of it with this condition but also feel lucky that I have not.

Going for a second opinion on Monday and then back to my original surgeon on April 6th then forward from there. I am more than likely going to go through with it and hopefully early May. Does anyone have advice (ie Absolute DO NOT do's or any secrets of what is beneficial post-op?) I know the surgeon will go over a lot of this, and oh do I have my questions prepared. But in the end they can only give you so much knowledge and then it is up to you to deal with the aftermath. Also, how much assistance do you need in the days after. I know someone has to take you home from the hospital but after that? And what does the eye look like? What's it feel like when you open it the first time post-op? I fear that moment.

I feel lucky that I have a great support system and this forum is incredibly helpful!
