Samba,

You could obtain the sclerals privately - direct from Ken Pullum. This would be a lot faster, but a lot more expensive, too.

Ken's contact details are on our list of KC-friendly opticians.

Sclerals

Postby Anna Mason » Sat 03 Feb 2007 1:12 pm

I have worn a scleral in my left eye for two years (probably longer but my memory isvague)and my spacebar sticks since I poured tea on my keyboard. To the point. A scleral in my left eye has rescued me the vision is good compared to what it was with a softperm the wearing time is usually excellent (12hrs ish). I can now insert it 10 seconds on a good day or 5 minuteson a bad day no more sitting on the floor and grinding my teeth.I have a mini scleral for my right eye but dont wearit very often asthe vision is so much betterwith my softperm its like putting a poly bag on my head (slight exaggeration hope ken isnt reading this)
