Pleased to hear it went well for you Lisa. I had been hoping to find out how your op had gone, as I am having a graft on Tuesday!
I've been able to tolerate my lenses quite well in recent months ( summer is always much worse ), but it's making me feel could I struggle on without a graft. I'm sure it's just pre-op jitters, I keep reminding myself how desperate I have been in the past!

Well done you. The lethargy could be from the anasthetic ( spelt wrong I think!) or from pain killers. I'm still on tramodol which really space me out! Eye doing ok though and feel well in myself. Resumed marathon training this week, just walking, but done 10 miles already! Look after yourself. Tubs

Lisa am glad to hear that everything went well! I only took paracetamol for a few days and then felt fine. Co-codamol can actually make you more drowsy than Tramadol, but everyone is different. Are you taking 50mg (1 tablet) or 100mg (two) of tramadol, because if the pain isn't so bad you could try just taking one and one paracetamol.
I wouldn't advise taking tramadol long term, and think that paracetamol and indeed brufen may be better, being an anti-inflammatory, but you will need to see how it goes. Are you still in a lot of pain, because most people find that that settles very quickly, and that putting eye drops in or some lubricating drops do help.
Take care!

Unfortunately I had a lot of pain with left eye too and ended up with a bandage lens for 10 months. Tried nurofen today but took ages to kick in - eye streaming and too sore to open - this is nearly 3 wks post op. Think I've just got oversensitive eyes! Bummer! I'm taking one tramodol at night and 2 in the morning at the moment, but feeling strong side effects, quite spaced out and dizzy. Not good when you're trying to do a 5 mile walk! Wore my eye shield under glasses to protect against being whacked in the eye by something I may miss in the hedgerows! Got a few odd looks but who cares! Planning a 10K racewalk on Sunday - but slightly concerned that I may get dope tested and come out positive!! Tubs
