Sounds very promising. My ophthalmologist had a belief that at some point technology and research would permit the use of glasses to correct HOAs etc. Let’s hope it’s not a false dawn!

May09 Diagnosed with KC, March 2010 after a failed transplant it has left me legally blind a long cane user (since 2010) who is blind in a once sighted world

Not been on here for a while but popped on to see if there was any update to this. How would we know if further research has taken place? I'd love to be able to wear glasses out and about again.

Hi Cripps,
The KC Group will keep in touch with Dr Abass and post any further updates on the website. This was the first stage of the research, involving just a few cases to see if the idea was feasible. Projects like this tend to take some years and, of course, require further funding to take them forward. We hope the research will continue.
