Does anyone have any idea how long after a corneal transplant you can fly.

Re: Travel advice
Hello Jayne and welcome,
I think in theory it's OK to fly a couple of weeks later. But I think the last time I was getting travel insurance and said I'd had grafts, I was asked it that was more than 6 weeks before.
And, in practice, you're likely to have quite a few follow up hospital appointments in the first few months. Personally, I wouldn't want to fly until I was sure the transplant was settling down well. And the dry air in planes is a problem for us at the best of times let alone after surgery. But other people may feel differently. Of course the best advice is to ask your surgeon!
