I had my C3R surgery 4 weeks back but I think that my vision is still blurry and also that my vision before surgery was better than my current vision. In particular, apart from blur my current vision is little more distorted(more number of images and more shifted images) than it was before the surgery. Is it because it will take more time to recover or my KC has not stopped yet? I was worrying whether my surgery was successful or not ?
I was also worrying whether KC will stop after C3R or KC progress may resume after a while ?
Please Help me !!!

Re: Post C3R affects
Hi there,
It took 3 months after the CXL for my vision to return back to pre-CXL levels, so you've still got some time to go yet.
Also, in many people the KC can continue to progress for a month after the CXL before it begins to 'kick in'. I wouldn't worry. Wait until your 3 month check-up and you should see a halt to the progression.

Thanks James
One more I would like to confirm is that after the C3R surgery is there only blurriness in vision or one can also see more number of mulitple images as well ( as in my case even after 4 weeks) ?

I can't fully remember how blurred my vision was after 1 month to be completely honest with you! But yes, I would have thought that would be possible because it takes a long while for your cornea to settle down, and I do know that often the topography scans can show the effects of KC actually getting worse after 1 month and then the progression stops.
1 month is way too early to determine whether the CXL has worked, you'll know much more by 3months, 6months and 1 year. But it's rare for CXL not to work, so I'm sure you'll be fine!

Did you have epi on or epi off cxl. Did you do both eyes at once?

Hi Paul.
I had CXL performed on one eye almost 4 months ago... it was only last month that my sight started returning to normal. I'd say overall, it's still slightly worse than before, but that's because my prescription has changed as a result. This is completely normal and I'm waiting for my new prescription contacts to come in. I'm confident they'll be better, but can't be completely sure yet. I'll update on the forum somewhere when I get the results.

This was epi-off, and I had waited 3 months before having the other eye done.

Hi Paul,
I had epi-off cxl around 1 month back. Is it common that there is an increase in ghost images after cxl.
Thanks

Mine changed; I'd say slightly worse. However I'm hoping for a reduction on a new prescription.

Re: Post C3R affects
I was certainly blurry after one month. Just had my 6 month check up at Moorfields (the evening surgery as it happens, some new initiative?) and they spoke again aboout how fluctuations will still continue up to 1 year as James has said.
I had both eyes done within a week of eachother, epi off. Ouch.
